To all RP Prayer Warriors.
Due to low attendance last week, last week prayer meeting was cancel. Instead we will have prayer meeting this coming monday. We will be meeting at E1 foodcourt at 4.45 pm. Really hope to see you there.

Mt 16:19
And I will give you this keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bind in heaven, and whatever we loose on Earth will be loose in Heaven.

Last Week, the post is about making your prayer powerful and effective. How a effective and powerful prayer must be both make by a righteous man and fervent.

This week, I going to write about something else. God has never work alone. Ever since the history of mankind, God has chosen to work with and through man. From Adam where he give the tasks of naming the animals, to the prophets like Daniel, Elijah and Isisah, to us in this generation and to all children in future generation, God has always choose to work with and through man to represent him on Earth. And God will not change this pattern of using mankind to benefit the world and bear his message. So why did God instead choose to use mankind to do his wonderful work on Earth where he could just say a word and it can be accomplish?

Well, he want us to seek him and work together with him. He is not going to spoon-feed us from Heaven. Yes, God want to give us all things but he want us to work for it. There must be a process of us seeking, asking and knocking before he will give and open the door for you. We must work together with God to carry out his will on Earth, and we can trust that somewhere in that will, we are inside. Before a person die, a will is written so that we know what each family member possess. In this will of Jesus, when he rise up to heaven, he give us the key of heaven, the key towards life. After going to the cross, Jesus had wrestle the key, the modern day equilavent to the password that protect your computer from being assess by unwanted person, away from the Devil and given it to us.

The Keys have been given to us. The question is now that the key is with us, what are we going to do with it? As we are believing for breakthrough in our life, as we are believing for revival in our school, are you willing to pray together and work together with us to see his will on Earth, not just in Heaven...

{Thursday, 10 July 2008 . Prayer Meeting this week}

Hi,

There will be praying meeting this coming monday. We will be meeting at 4.45pm at e1 foodcourt. Please let your connect group leader know as soon as possible whether you are able to make it. Also, I would like to share the following insight of the verse to you all.

James 5:16-17
Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.

James 5:16-17 talk about a prayer that avail much to God. The NIV version state that the prayer is powerful and effective. However, the verse also tell us that in order for us to have effective and powerful prayer, there are two aspect to it.

Firstly, the prayer must fervent, which mean passionate, consistent. Jesus describe the parable of the unrighteous judge and the story of a man begging his friends for bread at midnight to describe the need for consistent fervent prayer.

Secondly, the person must be righteous. This means that he must believe that God have forgiven his sins. We are make righteous through our faith in God and the blood of Jesus. However, sometimes we sin against God. If we have any hidden sin in our life, it will hinder our prayer to God.

By fulfilling this two conditions: righteous and ferventness, our prayers will be powerful and effective. Elijah, the man describe in the bible, have a nature like us. The key to his success was his righteousness (he believe God would forgive his sins) and his fervent prayers (he prayed three times before rain come). His prayer was effective and powerful. Similarly, in our own prayer, we must be fervent and righteous (believe God would answer our prayer and that our sin is forgiven), in order for our prayer to be powerful and effective.

Leaders, meet as usual at 9.45 at Cafe Galilee on Monday.

Thank You
